The navies of Singapore and China launched the third edition of their bilateral maritime exercise on Sunday, highlighting their longstanding and amicable defence relations, an official statement revealed.
Running from September 1 to 5, the Exercise Maritime Cooperation involves the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) and China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy, according to Singapore's Ministry of Defence.
Held at Ma Xie Naval Base in Zhanjiang, China, the opening ceremony gathered about 200 naval personnel. The exercise involves various maritime tasks, showcasing continual opportunities for both navies to enhance mutual trust and understanding.
