Ranaut, who represents Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, had made controversial statements in an interview with the Hindi daily 'Dainik Bhaskar'. She suggested a potential 'Bangladesh-like situation' during the farmers' protests and implicated China and the United States in a conspiracy, comments which drew severe criticism from opposition parties.
