Trump Pledges IVF Coverage in Bid to Win Female Voters
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump proposed that either the government or insurance companies cover IVF fertility treatment costs if he wins the election. He aims to attract women and suburban voters. Trump will compete against Democrat Kamala Harris, who has increasing support among women voters.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced on Thursday that he will require the government or insurance companies to cover the costs of IVF fertility treatments if he is elected in November. This proposal is designed to appeal to women and suburban voters.
At a campaign event in Potterville, Michigan, Trump stated, "Your government will pay for or your insurance company will be mandated to pay for all costs associated with IVF treatment fertilization for women." He also mentioned tax deductions for new parents' major newborn expenses, emphasizing the need for more babies in the country.
In the upcoming Nov. 5 election, Trump will face Democrat Kamala Harris, who is gaining support among women voters, according to a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll. Not all states currently require insurance coverage for IVF, which can be an expensive and complex process. Trump's commitment comes amidst controversy over an Alabama Supreme Court ruling classifying embryos as children.
