The Congress has launched a fresh attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration, citing new data to argue that India's economic policies favor the wealthy.

Jairam Ramesh, Congress general secretary in-charge of communications, shared a media report on the Hurun India Rich List, revealing that India created a new billionaire every five days in 2023.

'Modi's Billionaire Raj is more unequal than even the British Raj and is the cornerstone of the government's economic policy-making,' Ramesh alleged, pointing out that while global calls for a billionaire tax grow, India's government remains silent on rising economic inequalities.
