Sunil Tatkare, president of NCP's Maharashtra unit, announced that the Mahayuti alliance will soon engage in seat-sharing talks ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. Speaking in Nanded during the Ajit Pawar-led 'Jansanman Yatra,' Tatkare mentioned the discussions would start within 4 to 5 days.

The alliance, comprising NCP, the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, and BJP, is preparing for elections to the 288-member Maharashtra assembly expected in October or November. Tatkare emphasized that the primary discussions would not address current seats held by the respective parties.

Responding to VBA chief Prakash Ambedkar's claims of fund diversion, Tatkare asserted that financial resources intended for tribal development and social justice were not being misappropriated. He cited his experience as a former finance minister to substantiate his stance.
