The emotional reunion took place at Rao's residence in Erravelli. Kavitha sought her father's blessings, and BRS sources mentioned that Rao turned emotional as he greeted her.

Kavitha had been in Tihar jail for over five months before the Supreme Court granted her bail in the alleged Delhi excise policy scam case. In a post on social media platform X, Kavitha expressed her relief with the words 'Satyameva Jayate'.
