Nationalist Congress Party chief and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar reiterated the secular principles of his party and stressed adherence to the ideologies of social reformers Dr. B R Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, and Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj during an outreach event in Ahmedpur.

Pawar, addressing the Jan Sanman Yatra, assured voters that the 'Ladki Bahin' scheme for women will continue indefinitely, despite upcoming elections, underscoring his commitment to women's safety and welfare. Pawar emphasized that the state government is aligned with the central government, ensuring more funds and development for Maharashtra.

He dismissed opposition claims of planned constitutional changes by the NDA government at the Centre and pledged stringent actions against gender-based crimes. Meanwhile, the event witnessed protests for the Maratha reservation demand.
