BJP Ticket Turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir: Supporters Protest for Dubey

Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina was met with fierce protests from party workers on Wednesday after it was revealed that Rohit Dubey was denied a ticket for the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi seat in Reasi district. Raina's speech was disrupted by angry supporters demanding an explanation for the decision.
Raina rushed to Katra where Dubey's supporters had taken to the streets, blocking the highway outside the newly established party office in protest of the party's choice to field Baldev Raj Sharma instead. Despite attempts to pacify the crowd, Raina was forced to cut short his address.
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi seat is set to go to polls along with 25 other segments in the second phase on September 25, following the first phase on September 18 and preceding the final phase on October 1.
