Mayawati Re-elected as BSP National President: A New Era Unfolds

Mayawati was unanimously re-elected as the national president of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Tuesday, as confirmed by the party.
The decision was made during a special meeting of the BSP Central Executive Committee (CEC) and senior party officials at both national and state levels, alongside representatives from across the country.
Mayawati, 68, has served four terms as chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. Party founder Kanshi Ram named her his political successor over two decades ago. In a party statement, she assured followers that she is prepared to make any sacrifice to further the humanitarian mission of the BSP, focusing specifically on Dalit, Adivasi and OBC communities.
Just two days ago, Mayawati announced on social media that retirement from active politics is 'out of the question.'
