In response to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's controversial 'Batenge to Katenge' remarks, BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh on Tuesday upheld the statement as a pressing truth. Singh emphasized the importance of vigilance against political figures like Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, whom he accused of fostering division based on caste, language, and region.
Speaking to ANI, Singh pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resolution includes vigilance against such divisive tactics. 'The CM's statement is justified. We've seen the consequences in 1947, and figures like Rahul Gandhi are fostering similar divisions today,' he stated, calling for national cohesion.
Singh criticized Rahul Gandhi's call for a caste census, accusing him of double standards. 'In Jammu and Kashmir, he allies with the National Conference and advocates revoking Article 370, affecting OBCs, Dalits, Pahadi, and Gujjar communities,' Singh noted. He underscored the BJP's capacity to maintain unity, urging vigilance against those dividing the nation.
CM Adityanath's remarks came during an August 26 rally in Agra, referencing Bangladesh's political crisis as a warning. 'National empowerment relies on unity,' he stated. The comments follow Bangladesh's former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina fleeing due to protests, highlighting the stakes of national division.
