Rahul Gandhi didn't mince words as he condemned Kangana Ranaut's comments on the farmers' protest, labeling them 'shameful' and a 'grave insult' to farmers in western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and the entire country.
Ranaut's remarks, made during an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, suggested that India narrowly avoided a Bangladesh-like crisis due to strong national leadership. She further alleged that bodies were hanging and rapes occurred during the now-repealed farm laws protest, implicating China and the US in a conspiracy.
The BJP clarified in a statement that Ranaut's views do not represent the party. They expressed disagreement with her remarks and stated that she is not authorized to speak on the party's policy issues.
