In a lighthearted interaction in Srinagar, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi faced the ever-persistent question about his marriage from enthusiastic Kashmiri women students. The 54-year-old politician, whose marital status has been a subject of speculation for decades, cheerfully remarked that he has managed to withstand this pressure for 20-30 years.
Rahul Gandhi, who was in Jammu and Kashmir last week, addressed the marriage question candidly. While he stated that he doesn't plan his marriage, he left the door open, saying, "if it happens..." The students humorously asked for an invitation to the eventual wedding, to which Gandhi responded affirmatively, eliciting laughter from the audience.
The topic of his marriage had previously surfaced during a rally in Rae Bareli. Gandhi's sister, Priyanka Gandhi, had urged him to answer the crowd's query on the matter, leading Rahul to assure the audience that the marriage would happen soon.
