The All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) on Monday condemned Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha MP and actor Kangana Ranaut for suggesting that the protests against the three now-repealed farm laws could have led to a Bangladesh-like situation in India if not for strong leadership.
In a video posted on X, Ranaut alleged incidents of 'bodies hanging and rapes' during the farmers' protests. AIKS President Dr. Ashok Dhawale labeled her remarks as highly condemnable, accusing Ranaut of trying to please her 'external and internal bosses who want to devour agriculture.'
The BJP distanced itself from Ranaut's comments, expressing disagreement and clarifying that the views expressed by her do not reflect the party's stance. The party reaffirmed its commitment to social harmony and the principles of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.'
