Modi and Albanese Strengthen Ties Amid Quad Cooperation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to discuss and assess their bilateral relations along with cooperation in forums such as the Quad. Established in November 2017, the Quad, consisting of India, Japan, the US, and Australia, aims to maintain free and open sea routes in the Indo-Pacific.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a conversation with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to evaluate the progress in their bilateral relations and collaboration in various international platforms, including the Quad.
In a recent post on X, Modi expressed his enthusiasm about the discussion stating, 'Delighted to speak to my friend @AlboMP. We took stock of progress in our bilateral relations and cooperation in the multilateral fora, including the Quad.'
In November 2017, India, Japan, the USA, and Australia formed the Quad to strategize on keeping critical sea routes in the Indo-Pacific region free of undue influence.
