Omar Abdullah, vice president of the National Conference (NC), expressed thanks to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for spotlighting his party's election manifesto. Abdullah stated that Shah's remarks have compelled more people to read the manifesto, which has increased its visibility.
'I am thankful to the home minister from the core of my heart for talking about our manifesto. For a small party like ours, contesting an election in a far-flung area, it's significant that the country's home minister has reviewed our manifesto,' Abdullah told reporters.
Shah had previously criticized the Congress for its alliance with NC for the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly polls, accusing them of jeopardizing unity and security for power. While acknowledging the criticism, Abdullah stated he re-read the manifesto and found it free of the alleged controversial content.
