AIADMK general secretary and Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition, Edappadi K Palaniswami, on Sunday accused the BJP and the ruling DMK of secretly maintaining ties while portraying a rivalry to the public.
He criticized Chief Minister M K Stalin for claiming that the Karunanidhi centenary commemorative coin release event was organized by the central government, reiterating that it was a state government event.
Palaniswami pointed out that key BJP leaders attended the event, which did not include Congress leaders from the INDIA bloc, suggesting DMK was securing the Centre's support to protect its government. He also criticized state BJP chief Annamalai's remarks on AIADMK and questioned the effectiveness of BJP's promises to Tamil Nadu.
