Prashant Kishor is set to transition his 'Jan Suraj' campaign into a political party on October 2 in Bihar, aiming for proportional representation from various social groups. The upcoming party will feature a 25-member central committee, including representatives from the general category, OBCs, EBCs, scheduled castes, and minorities.

Kishor's initiative follows a recent caste survey by the Bihar government, which aimed to provide a clear picture of the state's demographic distribution. Initially, equal representation was promised across communities, which was later revised to align with population share as per the census.

The elected leader of the party will serve a one-year term, starting with a representative from the most deprived community. Although Kishor will not be part of the leadership group, he remains focused on grassroots mobilization across Bihar before the 2025 Assembly elections.

Furthermore, any campaign founder member securing at least 5,000 proposals can participate in the election process to become part of the central committee.
