PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti announced the party's full support for the Congress-NC alliance in the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. She emphasized prioritizing the resolution of the Kashmir issue over mere seat-sharing arrangements.
Mehbooba explicitly ruled out any alliance with the BJP, stressing that for the PDP, the dignity and issues of the people of Jammu and Kashmir matter most. She clarified that their past coalitions with both the Congress and BJP hinged on their agenda and not just electoral gains.
The PDP's latest manifesto commits to restoring Jammu and Kashmir's statehood, fostering India-Pakistan diplomatic initiatives, and revoking contentious laws like PSA and UAPA. These assembly elections are the first since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.
