In a recent statement, BJP leader and former state minister Anil Vij declared that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest the upcoming Haryana state assembly polls on its own, expressing confidence in securing a third consecutive term. Vij mentioned that discussions and evaluations are currently underway to finalize the candidate selections and develop strategies for the elections.

Vij elaborated, "We held a discussion for each seat and we are looking at the applications received. The meeting will continue tomorrow also, and we will have discussions. We will make a panel and send it to the Central Election Committee. The BJP will contest on its own and form the government for the third time." Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini pointed to the positive voter response following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent swearing-in for his third term as a hopeful sign.

Saini remarked, "The discussions are underway. After PM Modi took the oath for the third time, the response of the people of Haryana was also similar. The BJP is going to form the government for the third time." Former Haryana Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar echoed these sentiments, asserting that public disillusionment with Congress would propel BJP to another victory. Haryana is scheduled to vote in a single phase on October 1, with vote counting on October 4, in a four-way contest involving BJP, Congress, JJP, and AAP.
