Michelle Obama launched a fervent critique of Donald Trump, addressing his racial attacks on her family and endorsing Kamala Harris at the Democratic National Convention. She stated, ''For years Donald Trump did everything in his power to try to make people fear us. His limited narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly educated, successful people who happen to be Black.''

In her nearly 20-minute address, Obama noted Trump's repeated use of the term ''Black jobs'' and chided him for promoting birtherism. She articulated Trump's fear of highly accomplished Black individuals, connecting it to his attacks on Kamala Harris. ''Who is going to tell him that the job he currently is seeking might just be one of those Black jobs?"

Obama concluded her powerful speech by highlighting Harris' qualifications and urging the Democratic Party to work hard to ensure her victory. ''My girl Kamala Harris is more than ready for this moment. She is one of the most qualified people ever to seek the office of the presidency.'' Michelle Obama's speech garnered a standing ovation, filled with digs at Trump's ''ugly, misogynistic, racist lies.''
