Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will embark on a four-day visit to the US starting Friday to reinforce the comprehensive global strategic partnership between the two nations.

In Washington, Singh is set to hold talks with Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, among other officials.

Discussions are expected to focus on India's plans to procure 31 MQ-9B Predator drones, and the proposed joint manufacturing of Stryker infantry combat vehicles and co-production of GE F414 engines in India, officials indicated on Tuesday.

The defence ministry highlighted that Singh's visit is aimed at deepening and broadening the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.

This trip occurs amid rising momentum in India-US relations and a series of defence engagements at multiple levels.

Additionally, Singh will chair a high-level roundtable meeting with US defence industry leaders to discuss ongoing and future defence collaborations. He will also engage with the Indian community during his visit.
