Conservative billionaire Timothy Mellon, an heir of the Pittsburgh-based Mellon banking family, has made another substantial contribution to the super PAC supporting Donald Trump's presidential campaign. According to a federal disclosure filed on Tuesday, Mellon donated $50 million to MAGA Inc last month, a group that has significantly increased its spending on television ads favoring Trump's candidacy and critiquing Democratic rival Kamala Harris.

The Federal Election Commission filing revealed that MAGA Inc received over $54 million in donations last month, primarily from Mellon. Mellon's contributions to the super PAC now total at least $115 million this year, including a $50 million donation in May. Mellon, a Wyoming resident and amateur pilot, has made considerable investments in and led transport-related companies. Forbes places the Mellon's family wealth at around $14.1 billion.
