Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has indicated that the expansion of the state cabinet can happen imminently.

Local media has been abuzz with speculation about the cabinet's expansion for a while.

"Discussions at all levels have been held concerning this. As soon as the process is over, we can expand the cabinet," Dhami said during a news interview in Gairsain before the state assembly's monsoon session, set to start Wednesday.

Recent meetings between senior state party leaders and the central party leadership have further fueled media speculation on the potential cabinet expansion. Currently, the Dhami cabinet has four vacancies. Three positions have been vacant since the beginning, and the fourth became empty after the death of Minister Chandan Ram Das last year.
