BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya has sparked a storm by predicting a civil war in India within 30 years due to significant demographic shifts. The controversial statement was made during a Raksha Bandhan event on Sunday, prompting backlash from the opposition Congress.

Addressing the event, Vijayvargiya mentioned a conversation with a retired military officer who suggested that changing demographics could lead to civil unrest. He emphasized the need for social harmony and called for strengthening Hindu unity to counter divisive tactics.

Congress spokesperson Neelabh Shukla condemned the remarks as irresponsible, saying they foster instability and fear. Shukla demanded a public apology and identification of the retired officer who shared the civil war apprehension.
