In a tragic turn of events, the Tripura unit of the BJP has demanded the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This call to action follows the disturbing rape and murder of a post-graduate trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata.
The deceased was discovered in a seminar room at the college on August 9, raising serious concerns about safety and security measures in the institution.
Speaking at a press conference, former union minister and BJP state core committee member Pratima Bhoumik urged, "We want Mamata di to resign, owning moral responsibility for the shocking incident in Kolkata." Bhoumik also alleged that crucial evidence had been destroyed in acts of vandalism at the hospital. Additionally, she criticized the INDIA bloc leaders for their silence on the issue.
