The Congress party on Friday inaugurated its 100-day 'Samvidhan Rakshak Campaign', targeting all 70 assembly constituencies in Delhi. The campaign seeks to enroll citizens as protectors of the Constitution, with a concluding event scheduled for November 26 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of its adoption.

Ajay Maken, senior Congress leader and treasurer of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), launched the initiative alongside Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav and Rajesh Lilothia, Chairman of the SC department of the AICC. Maken criticized the BJP-led central government, alleging ongoing threats to the Constitution, and highlighted India's unique stability in an otherwise turbulent region, attributing this to the country's enduring democratic framework.

So far, three lakh volunteers have signed up for the campaign, including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. Lilothia announced plans to expand the campaign nationally, recruiting and training male and female volunteers in every village. The Delhi campaign will culminate in a grand event at Talkatora Stadium on November 26, marking the historic adoption of the Constitution.
