Modi highlighted that extensive consultations have been conducted nationwide on the issue, with all political parties providing input and a committee delivering an excellent report on the matter. Speaking from the Red Fort, he argued that frequent elections often disrupt governmental initiatives and connect every policy to electoral cycles.
The Prime Minister called on political parties to use national resources wisely and ensure the nation's progress by supporting the 'one nation, one election' initiative, a key promise in the BJP's manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections.
