Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has expressed confidence that the Congress party can secure a win in the upcoming assembly elections without forming any alliances, including with AAP. He emphasized the importance of winnability as the primary criterion for ticket distribution.
In an interview with PTI, Hooda clarified that while Congress has an alliance with AAP at the national level under the INDIA bloc, no discussions have been held regarding a state-level partnership for Haryana. He reinforced that his party is capable of winning on its own in the state elections.
Hooda criticized the Agnipath military recruitment scheme and demanded a legal guarantee for minimum support price (MSP) for crops. He also outlined the party's promises, including changes in pension schemes, gas cylinder prices, and electricity costs. Additionally, he promised to attract investments and improve law and order, claiming the current BJP-JJP government is non-performing and has failed to bring development to Haryana.
