Congress leader and former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has criticized the BJP government in Rajasthan for the chaos surrounding the resignation status of the disaster management minister amidst ongoing heavy rains that have claimed over 25 lives.
Gehlot urged Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to clear the ambiguity to ensure effective relief and rescue operations. He highlighted that in such critical times, the people deserve transparency regarding the disaster relief minister's standing to avoid what he described as 'deceit' by the state.
Earlier, officials were instructed to ramp up disaster management measures, and citizens were advised to avoid water-logged areas. Heavy rains have caused severe waterlogging, flooding, and significant casualties in the state. (ANI)
