Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara announced efforts to vacate a stay in a POCSO case against BJP leader B S Yediyurappa. Amidst allegations and legal battles, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah faces inquiries from the Governor about alleged scams. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara has confirmed that the Advocate General and legal team have been directed to vacate the stay in a Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act case against BJP veteran B S Yediyurappa.

Parameshwara stated that once the stay is vacated, subsequent legal actions will follow in accordance with the law. 'He (Yediyurappa) may fight the case legally in the future, we will also have to fight legally,' he said when addressing reporters.

This development comes after the High Court issued an interim order preventing the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) from arresting Yediyurappa. The case, filed on March 14, stems from allegations of sexual assault made by the mother of a 17-year-old girl against Yediyurappa.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah mentioned in Mysuru that he aims to expose opposition leaders, including Yediyurappa, and their alleged involvement in various scams, indicating that action will be based on inquiry reports.

Amidst this, Siddaramaiah urged Yediyurappa to retire from public life due to the POCSO case. Yediyurappa responded, asserting that the truth will emerge through the court's decision.

Home Minister Parameshwara also addressed alleged scams during the BJP tenure, noting that inquiries are underway and actions will follow based on the findings.

Regarding a show-cause notice from the Governor to CM Siddaramaiah tied to the Mysuru Urban Development Authority site allotment 'scam', Parameshwara criticized the Governor's haste and suggested a conspiracy.

The Karnataka government advised the Governor to withdraw the notice, accusing him of misusing his office to destabilize the government for political reasons.
