Hayer expressed delight over Sisodia's release, acknowledging it came after a prolonged period. He lauded Sisodia for his relentless efforts to improve education for Delhi's children, turning it into a national issue.
In an interview with ANI, Hayer commented, 'This is a moment of joy for AAP as Manish Sisodia has been granted bail after 17 months. He has tirelessly worked to provide education to children and to elevate the issue nationally. Today, his truth has prevailed, and we celebrate alongside AAP supporters who know his reality. We are hopeful that Arvind Kejriwal will also return from jail, allowing AAP to continue serving the nation.'
Earlier, Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for granting Sisodia's bail. Speaking to reporters at the Delhi CM's residence, Speaker Goel called Sisodia's release a 'victory of justice,' stating, 'We are very thankful to the Supreme Court.'
AAP leaders Atishi and Sanjay Singh, among others, were present as the former Deputy CM walked out of jail. Party workers and members of the RWA wing gathered outside Tihar Jail to celebrate Sisodia's release. Sisodia attributed his release to the Constitution drafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar and expressed confidence that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal would soon be free.
'I have come out of jail due to your love, God's blessings, and the power of truth,' Sisodia said addressing party workers after his release. 'The Constitution will protect opposition leaders from any dictatorial government. I assure you that with this power of the Constitution, Arvind Kejriwal will come out of jail as well,' he added.
