PTI Holds Massive Rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Calling for Imran Khan's Release

Pakistan's jailed former prime minister Imran Khan's party, PTI, organized a significant rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Swabi district on Monday. The event marked one year since Khan's imprisonment, with party leaders reiterating their commitment to seeking his release. They have scheduled a follow-up rally in Islamabad by the end of the month.

Key speakers at the rally included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, PTI chairman Gohar Ali Khan, and Secretary General Omar Ayub. They asserted the importance of Khan's leadership and highlighted his ongoing struggle for Pakistan's future. Gandapur emphasized that no authority could prevent them from holding another rally in Islamabad, signifying the party's determination.

Khan, who was Pakistan's prime minister from August 2018 to April 2022, faces over 200 cases with convictions in some. PTI leaders argue that the former premier, a prominent politician, cannot be kept in jail indefinitely. They claim Khan's health is deteriorating due to substandard food and called for an immediate medical check-up.
