Tunisia Court Sentences Abir Moussi to Prison

A Tunisia court on Monday sentenced Abir Moussi, a vocal critic of President Kais Saied, to two years in prison for insulting the election commission, local Mosaique radio reported.

Moussi, who leads the Free Constitutional Party—one of Tunisia's largest political parties—alleged that the election commission is not autonomous and is connected to the president. Moussi has been in detention since October.
