In a contentious political clash, former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has alleged that Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is using dismissed police officer Sachin Waze to execute a political vendetta. Deshmukh, who resigned in 2021 amid allegations of corruption, maintains his innocence and has urged Fadnavis to make the Chandiwal Commission report public, asserting that it exonerates him.

Fadnavis refuted the claims, branding Deshmukh's accusations as 'meaningless imaginary things,' and emphasized that the report was neglected by the erstwhile Maha Vikas Aghadi government during its tenure. The Deputy Chief Minister highlighted that the FIR and subsequent investigations against Deshmukh were initiated by the High Court, not the central government.

The claims and counterclaims come as Waze, implicated in multiple high-profile cases, reiterated his bribery allegations against Deshmukh. BJP spokesperson Ram Kulkarni dismissed Deshmukh's claims as 'childish,' while the legal battles surrounding Deshmukh continue to unfold.
