Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren issued a scathing critique of the BJP on Friday, accusing the saffron party of wrecking India's economy through misguided policies and dividing people along religious lines. Speaking at the assembly's monsoon session's final day, Soren said, "The country is in a difficult phase; the economy is in peril due to the BJP-led central government's wrong policies."

Soren also lambasted the BJP's 'Agnipath' scheme, which he claims will leave enrolled youths jobless after four years. He promised that the Jharkhand government would support affected families with grants and job compensations. Amid protests from BJP members, Soren further alleged rampant selling of the country's assets and questioned the land acquisitions by the BJP over the past five years.

The Chief Minister also took aim at the BJP's handling of social issues, asserting that his government provided jobs to nearly 1.5 lakh people and accused the BJP of stalling reservations for backward classes and implementing the Sarna religious code for tribals. Additionally, he condemned the BJP for allegedly increasing the non-tribal population in Jharkhand cities like Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur, and Bokaro.
