Usman Majid, a former Jammu and Kashmir minister and vice president of the Apni Party, has announced his departure from the party. He alleges that the 'youngest regional outfit' was playing second fiddle to the BJP.
In an interview with PTI, Majid explained that his decision was influenced by the party's apparent alignment with the BJP, as observed in recent elections. He emphasized that his constituents are opposed to the BJP's anti-minority stance, prompting him to sever ties with the Apni Party.
Majid, a two-time MLA from Bandipora, stated that he will determine his political future after consulting with his workers, ensuring that the interests of Bandipora remain paramount.
