In the Telangana Assembly, BRS members staged a protest on Thursday, demanding an apology from Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for his allegedly insulting remarks towards women of the opposition party.

As the session began, the BRS members, donning black badges, commenced shouting slogans, eventually entering the well of the House during discussions on a bill for establishing skill universities in the state.

Despite Speaker G Prasad Kumar and treasury benches urging calm, the BRS legislators persisted, leading AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi to propose giving the BRS members a chance to speak or suspending them to restore order.

Subsequent to BRS MLA Harish Rao's comments on a Supreme Court verdict related to sub-classifications of Scheduled Castes and Tribes, the party protested in front of the CM's chambers and were eventually removed by marshals.

The opposition also announced statewide protests in reaction to the CM's comments. The conflict continued from Wednesday when BRS objected to Revanth Reddy's remarks regarding MLA Sabita Indra Reddy quitting Congress to join BRS after the 2019 elections.
