Trump Opposes Widespread Electric Car Adoption Despite Musk's Endorsement
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump expressed his opposition to universal electric car adoption, despite the endorsement of Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Trump made this statement during his speech at the National Association of Black Journalists conference in Chicago.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stated on Wednesday his opposition to the widespread adoption of electric cars, despite receiving an endorsement from billionaire Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla.
"Elon Musk endorsed me and he is a friend of mine, ... but I am against everybody having an electric car," Trump articulated while addressing the National Association of Black Journalists conference in Chicago.
The contradiction between Musk's endorsement and Trump's stance adds a layer of complexity to their public association, particularly given Musk's leadership in the electric vehicle industry.
