Maharashtra Bids Farewell to Governor Bais, Welcomes Radhakrishnan
Outgoing Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais received a heartfelt farewell from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his cabinet at Raj Bhavan. Bais, appointed in February 2023, will be succeeded by C P Radhakrishnan. Various officials attended the event, which included a ceremonial Navy Guard of Honour.

Outgoing Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais was given a grand farewell by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his cabinet colleagues at a function held at the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday.
Bais, who took office as Maharashtra governor in February 2023, will be replaced by C P Radhakrishnan, who is set to be sworn in on Wednesday evening.
Chief Minister Shinde, together with deputy chief ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar, felicitated Bais and his wife Rambai Bais, presenting them with shawls, bouquets, and souvenirs as a token of appreciation.
The outgoing governor expressed his gratitude to everyone for their cooperation during his tenure in Maharashtra.
Several top officials, including Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, state Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, and Additional Chief Secretary (Protocol) Manisha Mhaiskar, were also present at the ceremony.
Subsequently, the Navy accorded Bais a ceremonial Guard of Honour prior to his departure for Raipur.
Incoming governor Radhakrishnan will be officially sworn in at the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan at 6:30 PM on Wednesday.
