Tamil Nadu Law Minister S Regupathy has asserted that the state government bears no responsibility for recent violent incidents, attributing them to personal enmity and vindictiveness. Regupathy emphasized that the government is actively working to curb violence and maintain law and order.
During a press briefing at the Secretariat, Regupathy stated, "If we follow the recent violent incidents, they are not linked to the government in any way. All are due to personal reasons, old enmity, and personal vendettas. With these incidents, we can't say that the law and order in the state have deteriorated."
He criticized opposition leaders, particularly targeting AIADMK's Edappadi Palaniswami, for misrepresenting the situation to push negative narratives. He reiterated that the Tamil Nadu government is proactive in maintaining order, citing the high occupancy rate in prisons as evidence of effective law enforcement.
