Targeting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Kunal Ghosh asserted that the people of West Bengal support Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and reject the BJP's 'cheap politics.' Ghosh claimed that the state is on a developmental path and accused the BJP of misusing central agency powers to create confusion and deprive Bengal.
Meanwhile, on Monday, West Bengal BJP Chief Sukanta Majumdar disclosed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the party's Members of Parliament from West Bengal, urging them to work for the people and contribute to realizing the vision of 'Sonar Bangla.' Sources revealed that PM Modi emphasized that West Bengal's citizens have accepted the BJP and stressed the importance of staying active for the upcoming assembly elections.
PM Modi also conducted one-on-one meetings with leaders Sukanta Majumdar and Suvendu Adhikari to discuss expanding the party's reach and making citizens aware of central schemes. He praised the efforts of BJP workers and reiterated a commitment to building a better future for West Bengal. Additionally, Congress leader Isha Khan Choudhary met with Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal to strategize on fortifying the party in the state. Speculations arise on potential changes in West Bengal's Congress leadership as Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury may be replaced following his Lok Sabha defeat.
