Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday emphasized his government's willingness to engage in constructive discussions on matters concerning the people and the state's development during the monsoon legislative assembly session.

Addressing reporters before the session's commencement, Adityanath solicited the opposition's support to ensure the smooth functioning of the House.

'I hope opposition members will highlight issues constructively in the House, drawing the government's attention to matters affecting the people and state development. The government remains resolute in addressing these issues,' Adityanath stated.

'The House should serve as a forum for such discussions, and the government will respond accordingly. I urge all members to contribute positively to the session. The government is prepared for a constructive dialogue in the House,' he added.

The session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly will conclude on August 2.

Adityanath extended congratulations to Samajwadi Party leader Mata Prasad Pandey on his appointment as Leader of the Opposition and presented him with a bouquet, wishing him well.

The chief minister also inaugurated a newly constructed committee room at the Vidhan Bhavan, attended by Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, Legislative Council Chairman Manvendra Singh, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, as well as opposition leaders.
