Top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), including party President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, joined Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers from BJP-ruled states for a pivotal meeting at the BJP headquarters. The meeting, overseen by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed to review election results and devise future strategies.

This gathering coincides with the 9th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog in Delhi. The BJP's agenda spans two sessions, focusing on analyzing Lok Sabha Election 2024 outcomes, identifying areas for improvement, ensuring the effective implementation of central and state schemes, and strategizing for forthcoming assembly elections.

Enhancing state-centre coordination was a crucial aspect of the meeting, aiming to bolster collaboration for more impactful government schemes. Chief Ministers presented their states' most successful initiatives, while discussions centered on overcoming challenges in implementing central schemes. The event saw the attendance of leaders such as Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, among others.

Earlier, PM Modi emphasized the importance of making India a developed nation by 2047 during the NITI Aayog meeting at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre. He stressed that states play a vital role in achieving this national ambition due to their direct connection with the populace. His remarks aimed to promote participative governance and foster better Centre-state collaboration to improve living standards across the country.

Notably, several opposition-led state governments announced plans to boycott the NITI Aayog meeting. (ANI)
