In a strategic move ahead of the Maharashtra assembly elections, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP will kick off a 'Jan Samman Yatra' under the leadership of state unit chief Sunil Tatkare this Sunday.

Speaking at a press conference, NCP MLC Shivajirao Garje and party spokesperson Anand Paranjape outlined the yatra's objective to engage with voters, solve their issues, and highlight the party's role in disseminating government schemes. The yatra aims to bolster NCP's organizational structure by connecting with the public across all state districts.

Paranjape emphasized that the yatra would focus on informing citizens about welfare programs and their application procedures. Tatkare will commence the yatra on July 28 in Nashik, covering various locations including Deolali, Sinnar, Yeola, and Kopargaon. On the following day, he will visit Niphad and Dindori to discuss the Mahayuti government's plans and reinforce party organization. Other state regions are also on the tour's itinerary, according to Garje.

When questioned about BJP leader Narayan Rane's declaration that his party is ready to contest all 288 assembly seats, Garje and Paranjape expressed confidence in the ruling alliance's collaborative plans for the upcoming elections and confirmed Rane's continuous role in the coalition.
