Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh on Saturday criticized the DMK for its protests against the Union Budget, stating that the allocation for Tamil Nadu was significantly higher than what the state received during the UPA regime.

Singh emphasized that the DMK had no grounds for protest and advised the ruling party to effectively utilize the budgeted funds, particularly for initiatives like the Deep Sea Mission. He described the Budget as futuristic, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for 2047, with a focus on startups, employment, and women-led development.

He highlighted the removal of the Angel tax and the opening up of the space sector for public and private partnerships, predicting a fivefold growth in India's space economy over the next decade. Speaking at a TN BJP Thinkers' Cell event, Singh accused Tamil Nadu's government of being unresponsive and underutilizing allocated funds, especially under the Deep Sea Mission.

Singh urged the DMK not to politicize budget allocations and noted that Tamil Nadu received substantial increases in sectors like railways and numerous Vande Bharat express trains, attributing these to Prime Minister Modi's favorable view of the state.
