Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Saturday criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's remarks on 'shelter' for infiltrators, asserting that the Centre is tackling the issue with an 'iron hand.'

During a press conference about the Union Budget 2024-25, Joshi condemned Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy's boycott of the NITI Aayog meeting, calling it undesirable and advising against such actions in the future.

Addressing a question about Banerjee, who walked out of the NITI Aayog meeting alleging she was cut off after five minutes, Joshi remarked that the INDI Alliance lacked unity, citing Banerjee's refusal to allocate seats to Congress in West Bengal. He also spoke about measures to curb food inflation by developing vegetable production clusters near major cities.
