In Akola, Maharashtra, workers of the Shiv Sena (UBT) staged a road blockade on Saturday morning following the discovery of a torn poster wishing their chief, Uddhav Thackeray, a happy birthday, according to a police official.
The controversial poster had been displayed at the main post office square, as confirmed by an official from the City Kotwali police station.
"Shiv Sena (UBT) workers blocked the main road in protest. Several of them were detained, and regular traffic was soon restored," the police official reported.
