UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on Friday accused Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav of becoming a 'pawn' of the Congress. Maurya responded to Yadav's allegations of state corruption, suggesting that Yadav has become influenced by senior party figures in Delhi.

In his post on X, Maurya urged Akhilesh Yadav to focus on rescuing the SP from political extinction rather than attacking the BJP. He further asserted that the BJP is poised for another significant victory in the 2027 state elections.

Maurya's comments came after Yadav criticized state corruption at a press conference following the unveiling of the 'Samvidhan-Manstambh' at the SP headquarters in Lucknow. Yadav reiterated that corruption is becoming more transparent in the state every day.
