Union Minister and JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh has staunchly defended the pre-poll alliance between his party, the BJP, and the TDP, describing it as being held together by a bond akin to Fevicol. Singh dismissed opposition claims that the budget was crafted to appease these key allies.
During a Lok Sabha discussion on the budget, Singh used a 'snakes and ladders' analogy to attack the Congress, suggesting that the party would fall to zero from its current 99 seats. He accused the opposition of focusing on attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi rather than discussing the budget on its merits.
Singh emphasized that the budget aims to make India self-reliant and highlighted its provisions for creating employment. He also responded to criticism from TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee and defended his party's nationwide vision, rejecting claims of state-centric favoritism.
