The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the government of treating Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as a 'political prisoner'.

Addressing a press conference, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak stated that Kejriwal's sugar levels dangerously declined 34 times between June 3 and July 7 while in judicial custody.

'Kejriwal is a political prisoner. Everyone knows how dictatorships treat political prisoners. Efforts are being made to scare him so that he does not raise his voice,' Pathak said. He added that Kejriwal, who has had severe diabetes for 30 years, is suffering from hypoglycemia, calling it hazardous for his health.

Pathak revealed that the issue had been discussed by the INDIA bloc allies, and a rally would be held on July 30 to address the matter. 'The matter is not just about Kejriwal or AAP but about the broader political system in the country,' he added.
